Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, Ref. 1002. stainless steel with a fitted Rolex signed stainless Steel rivet bracelet. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. Circa 1971.

Case. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case with original crown.

Dial. grey with applied bâton and tritium dots. Tritium-coated baton hands. Double signed with "Tiffany & Co" and Superlative Chronometer Officially certified.

Movement . Cal.1560, rhodium plated, 25 jewels, straightline lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws.

This watch has its original grey dial with perfectly preserved Tiffany Signature from the early 1970's. It is fitted with its original rivet bracelet. This is from a period when Tiffany was supplying Rolex watches to the New York clientele such as Andy Warhol, Bunny Mellon and Jackie Onassis. They were retailing watches from Patek and Rolex and sold them with their exclusive signature to the New York jet-set.

Like a few other famous Rolex retailers around the World, Tiffany and Co. started to sign the dials of the Rolex watches which it sold in the early 1950's, and Tiffany is considered the most prestigious Rolex agent.

This watch has it all: a rare and well preserved reference in extremely good condition. A gorgeous dial and hands with a rare combination double signed Tiffany and Co. This watch is not only elegant but practical, a treat for any watch collector.
