A stunning and very rare large cased solid eighteen carat gold Omega dress watch.  This is an exceptional piece, and very rare in this over-sized case.  Most watches from this period we between 30-34mm in size, but this case measures a very large 37.5mm, not including the crown.  The watch is powered by the classic, mechanically wound, 15 jewel, Omega calibre 265 movement, that is derived form the 30T2 movement, part of the Omega 30mm series.  The watch is in exceptional condition, lightly polished case, if at all, with very clean and sharp lines throughout.  The case back is fully signed Omega, with model number 2181 and case serial number above.  Searching the official Omega database, the model launched in 1941 with the 30T2 movement. This is a later version with an 11.7 million movement number that dates it to between 1947-9, hence the newer movement calibre.  The dial is a beautiful looking Arabic, with arrow marker style with the subsidiary seconds dial cutting into the 6 o'clock hour marker.  Below this it is signed "Swiss Made".  The hands and dial are all in original condition with the dial showing a slight patina, enhancing its original state.
