Seamaster Chronometers made post 1952 are one of Omega's seldom seen vintage watches. They featured all of the rugged sportiness of the Seamaster line coupled with an officially certified chronometer movement.
After their release and after Omega divided the line into two models in 1952, the "plain" Seamaster, a sport watch without chronometer certification, and the Constellation, the higher-end chromometer option, Omega only made a relatively few Seamaster Chronometers.
It measures 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
We were fortunate to acquire it in gorgeous condition. It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and original crystal.
It appears to have spent virtually all of its life safely stored away. Its full size case is in mint condition having only been lightly previously polished. And its original dial, whose finish appears mostly original and untouched with slight reprinting, presents as mint.
Powering the watch is its uncommon caliber 1011 officially certified chronometer movement.
A Master Watchmaker freshly overhauled it. Its winds very smoothly.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
Any Seamaster chronometer is a very fine watch with truly impressive capabilities. The only thing better is finding one in gorgeous condition.
