It is a ref. 166.002. These watches were often not signed Seamaster - this is one of the more desirable signed Seamaster models.
This beautifully restored example has fully Omega parts down to the dial, hands, crown, and even signed Omega crystal!
It has had a true expertly done cosmetic restoration and presents in gorgeous condition. The case, which has only been fairly lightly polished, presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Our Master Watchmaker has disassembled it down to its last screw and fully serviced it (a $495 value). It is keeping incredibly accurate time. Note that the small crown makes it slightly hard to hand wind.
'60's and early 70's Seamasters are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.
For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Note: Published examples of similar watches can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 403.
